Larry Wilson tries to corral the John Boy & Billy Big Show from 6am to 10am in the mornings, then gently rocks you to sleep at night from 6pm to midnight. Did we say gently? Yeah... right! And check out Larry's sarcastic view on the world and his desires to "thin the herd" on his blog!

I'm looking forward to another busy couple of days on ROCK101.
Friday will find me at the Dorman Center in Spartanburg for our annual Rock N Roll Up Your Sleeve Blood drive. We partner with the Blood Connection and have a lot fun, while at the same time we collect a lot of blood. Every year, you, the loyal ROCK101 listener rolls up your sleeve and gives the gift of life. There are list of sites and times you can donate, and I'm guessing one of those locations is near you.
I will be doing my little song and dance from 3pm to 5pm in an effort to get as many folks as possible to come to the Dorman Center donation center.
To overcome me being there, we will be feeding you withPapa Johns Pizza,
Washing it down with Rockstar Energy Drinks, and after you donate, a limited edition t-shirt.
Last but not least, since the chance of afternoon thunderstorms is around 70%, I think we should liven up the event with a wet t-shirt contest, Of course you need to keep in mind there will be
no prizes, no stage, no music, etc. Just you and all of us, in our wet ROCK101 shirts. :)
For those of you who can't make it, we will be doing something just for YOU! Most if not all of the 3pm to 5pm show will be streamed over the internet. That means you can see and hear all the foolishness by clicking on WROQ.com or our Facebook page. If nothing else......this part will be interesting.
Saturday - The annual Laurens Electric Cooperative Charity Poker Runwill be held that
morning with the end point being at Harley-Davidson of Greenville. I'll be on the air from there from noon to 2pm as hundreds of bikers flow into the dealership and if the streaming feature works well on Friday, we will give it another shot for the poker run party.
This event is one of two the LEC does each year for charity. Thats right a ton of money is funneled right back into the community to do a world of good and thanks to the employees of Laurens Electric, thousands are helped each year. They donate their time and YOU donate your money to help your neighbors.
Again, it will be a busy weekend but you gotta love companies like Laurens Electric Cooperative, Harley Davidson of Greenville, Entercom Communications, and of course the management at ROCK101 for caring.
I hope you can join us for both of these great events.
